Hi all,
First time poster. I'm currently thinking of changing jobs - my current job gives me 4x salary death in service benefit whilst my new one does not. I'm looking to see if i can get private life insurance whilst still having cancer. Has anyone had any luck here?
Tia.
Welcome to the forum . I don’t know much about the life insurance side but it definitely something that must come up a lot on Macmillan across the board .

I have had a radical nephrectomy. After that I was still able to get the "Over 50s Guaranteed Acceptance". Its only £10,000 max per insurer I think and needless to say higher costs. But better than nothing. As to your circumstances maybe look for a broker with experience at what they call "impaired lives".
There are many insurance providers that do offer coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, but the rates can be higher.
