I’m on Xerox/Capox, in my first of eight cycles of chemotherapy. I have been having tightness in the chest (besides strange tingling in hands and feet) and a few days ago I fainted. I was taken into hospital for heart tests (all results pretty much fine) but the oncologist feels it was all a side effect of the chemotherapy. He is searching for an alternative. Has any else experienced the same?
Hi Stephen100. Sorry to hear that you’ve had such a bad start to your chemo but it’s good that your heart checked out ok? I’ve attached a link to a previous post about something similar and also a link to our chemo side effects thread
Your oncologist will be best placed to decide on the way forward - sometimes a small reduction in dosage can make a big difference or changing to a different chemo
Take care
