Hi I’ve been diagnosed with annul cancer 4cm. I had another colonoscopy under general anesthetic on Monday to get more biopsy I’ve had heartburn ever since has anyone else experienced this, is this normal? Also I’m just so so tired overwhelmingly tired is this normal to? I’m resting so much I’m starting to ache and get sore. I do stroll round slowly do a few little jobs like washing and I walked my dogs only a 15mins walk had to have a lay down I felt so weak. Is this normal?
Hi GrannyNanny
Im sorry that you are feeling so tired. My cancer was rectal but like you I felt exhausted most of the time. Just a walk to my local shop I’d have to stop and rest. That was before I had my diagnosis
I went to St Ives with my daughter and as we walked along the harbour she said where would you like to go. I said that bench looks perfect. I didn’t realise at the time how my energy levels were drained. Also I couldn’t eat much.
So I had two supplement drinks a day with three little meals I was at the blocking stage so I had to be careful with everything I ate.
The Complan drinks really gave me a boost and I was able to just do the recommended exercises twice a day
I didn’t have heartburn after my colonoscopy so it may be worth phoning your team to check. It’s possible that the GA has caused it. But if you’re concerned give them a ring
Ann
