So fingers crossed my hubby goes in for his liver resection on 18th to remove the solitary met on his liver..the surgeon said they aim to remove 10% via open surgery so quite major...he will be in ICU initially and then in hospital for possibly another seven days...I wondered if any of you lovely people who have had liver resections could tell me what we should expect..how you felt in the first few days and how recovery went over the next few weeks....also any tips on food to eat and what would be useful to take into hospital...any advice would be very appreciated..he isn't a very patient patient...xx
