Here we go again - My 6mthly CT Scan is due on Saturday - following Bowel Cancer in May 2019, then Mets. to Lung in March 2020. These six months come around so quickly....& the Scanxiety for the following couple of weeks is awful - (& after 3 years, doesn't get less so!)
I guess that we are all in the same position - ie; We are all only as good as our last scan. However, the life in between these scans for me is good & 'normal/' & despite these 6 monthly worries - I'm just grateful that I'm still being followed & looked after by the NHS,
Marianne x
Hi Marianne26 and good to hear that you’re doing well. Everything crossed for another clear scan x
Good luck, hope it is clear. I haven't had my 1st one yet after operation. Does anyone else find it painful even after the drugs they give you? Wishing you luck again.
Hi Butterflyquen. The CT is a scan where they slide you backwards and forwards under a machine then ask you to hold your breath then put a dye in that makes your groin feel warm. There should be no pain - are you getting it confused with a colonoscopy - the camera up the back passage one? x
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
