Hi Everyone on the forum!
How are you all doing? Hope you all enjoyed the long Bank Holiday Weekend. I've been on here chatting about my husband James recent bowel cancer operation and how he has to go back for a CT scan as the chemical in potential cancers has risen slightly in his system. Well this is the day of his scan and both myself and him as you can imagine are `totally bricking it`. We have tried our best to try to stay positive on the run up to it but its been hard. It's just the thought that he was told they got all the cancer and then they hit him with this that the wee chemical has risen slightly. It's great though that they're picking up these things but hard to imagine that there might be something there that they might have missed. The ironic thing is that he is at the hospital imaging department today and I am there tomorrow. I have a condition called Tuberous Sclerosis and this causes small tubers (lesions) to form in different part of your body. I have small lesions on my brain (but non cancerous) and also on my kidneys so I have to attend the same department tomorrow (Wednesday) to have an ultrasound scan for my kidneys. I am supposed to get this done every three years but obviously with covid this has been put back. So `we're a pair`!! So it will be fingers toes and everything else being crossed today that James is going to be ok. Will keep you all posted. Take Care Everyone.
PattyK (Vicky).
