I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer back in September of last year and was initially on a chemo-radiation 20 sessions and capecitabine tabs, which made my jaw ache so as a precaution I was taken of the tabs and given a further week of radiotherapy. This then affected the following rounds of chemotherapy and I had a regime of 15min infusion of tomudex with oxaliplatin, I would like to say that this was well tolerated but sadly I only lasted the 3 of 4 rounds. The next steps are the results of scans next week and probably followed by surgery. Just wondering if anyone else has been on this regime it would be lovely to chat.
Hi . Ive not been on this combination but I’ve attached a link to the Macmillan page on it. You could also try typing the name in the search box at the top of the screen which will bring up previous posts

Hope the scans are good and surgery can go ahead - please keep us posted?
Take care
