Update following liver resection

Hi all,

Hope everyone is as well as they can be, thinking of those struggling.

I had a liver resection 5 months ago, had MRI last week and it's still clear!!

So the next step is a bit trickier... Due to the extensive surgery suggested, the local surgeon has referred me to their complex surgical team in Southampton. They want to remove the womb and tubes, rectum and part of the coxyx, eek!

If the Professor agrees to the op, I will have a consultation with him which I've been warned will be pretty scary!

The op won't be for a couple of months so I'm using the time to get as fit as possible.

I was considered inoperable and about to start palliative care not so long ago, there's still hope!

Oh lovely ! Star74 Hope lots of fun times with the family .

It crossed my mind about the summer holiday aspect . A lot of work in looking after young children too .

Is it the end of July your school holidays start ? Our holidays are the end of June !

If you are going to ask you might like to do it sooner rather than later as I would imagine there would be more than one surgeon involved . Might have to co ordinate diaries !

Yes indeed, we had the traditional ride on a donkey yesterday! Today's looking a bit grey so it'll be the arcade and lunch out!

I know, it would be good to get it done before the summer holidays, I will definitely ask. As you say, I imagine there will be a few diaries to juggle.

We break up mid July, around the 20th I think. I need to get a comfy sun lounger for my recuperation in the garden!!
