So I rang CT as I can't get hold of my specialist nurse and they said it was raised on the 7th by my consultant surgeon I has cea bloods on the 1st so I think it's to do with then.
I had a bad reaction last time to contrast any suggestions as to what to do about that?
Keep positive
Oh that’s much more reassuring indeed. Actually you have a wonderful team that they care at that level despite the added pressure they must be under .
Hopefully all will be well . Once we got a better feel for how my mum’s CEAs it took some of the fear away.
Hope you had a better day today .

So fingers crossed it is nothing to worry about gish this just never leaves does it there I was getting on lovely with my life feeling great and one thing sets you right back.
Thanks for the support Court
So it’s up 2.3 from your base line . Had that gone from 2 to 4.3 it would not have been flagged so it really does help to get a finger on what is normal for you . However great they are being very thorough .
My mum’s is strange to be honest . Hardly elevated despite a significant spread , at its highest ever on chemo . When she has no active cancer it naturally sits a bit higher anyway , elevated slightly as she gets older and has spikes which resolve themselves in the summer . We just had to give up the anxiety they caused as they did not always reflect the evidence of the scans . Which went from significant disease , to significant shrinkage . Nothing to be seen despite a spike . Her CEA never reflected that accurately.
Nothing causes an anxiety spike like CEA can .
All the very best with the scan and great your surgeon was so accessible and helpful . Do encouraged to hear that .
