That's done, have just taken the first dose of Capecitabine. Deep breath girl and keep going. Have decided not to do the whole 5 week treatment but opted instead for doing this in 25 days this way it'll be finished sooner.
Hope everyone is doing ok with their treatments. Sending healing thoughts out there
Hi I love shortbread. Do you mean you’re going to take the tablets for 25 consecutive days without a break ie. over 3.5 weeks? Has your team said that this is ok? I was told to take mine on the days that I had radiotherapy ie. mon-fri then have weekends off.
The capecitabine is a low doseage of chemo which enhances the effect of the radiotherapy so if you’ve taken them all before you’ve finished your radiotherapy then it’s lessening the effect of it?
Apologies if I’ve misunderstood your post and hope your treatment goes well
Take care
Karen x
Oh I'm sorry Karen, I haven't explained myself very well at all. Yes you are correct in tablets on the day of treatment only. My thinking was that there are 35 days in 5 weeks but only 25 treatment days so it seems a shorter stretch just counting those days. Day one down anyway. Sorry for the confusion ️

Well done I love shortbread . Not easy but a significant step in moving forward with your treatment .
Break it up into what works best in your mind . It’s one day off the list for sure .
Best foot forward as my mum likes to say !
