Hello
I’m new here !
My husband(44) has weight loss ( 19lbs since end of jan !!!:( ) , blood in stools and mucus , two small hard lumps in rectum , feeling the need to go to the toilet but cannot , diarrhoea and constipation . Niggly pain in left side .
GP performed an internal to feel the small lumps and an abdominal check . He mentioned Possible diverticulitis on left side so may have felt something .
im really really worried ! He’s has blood tests a few days back and a CT scan yesterday ! He has colonoscopy next week .
I can’t shake this awful feeling :( the symptoms just seem to be a given as it’s going to be bad news
Hi, welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your husband's symptoms. The waiting for tests and results is the worst, but once you have them, you will know what you are dealing with and your husband will soon have a treatment plan. If its bad news, bowel cancer is very treatable, so try to focus on that. Please keep using the forum if you need any help or advice. There is also the MacMillan Support Line on 0808 808 0000 7 days a week 8am to 8pm if you or your husband need to talk to someone.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
