Hi All

i wanted to seek out advice. I’ve finished my chemo/radiotherapy and am waiting for the scans, which will be end of April. I am looking to go on holiday before the scans, and would like to know what others have done about travel health insurance. Have you gone with special cover? Can anyone recommend any companies. I’ve had a look and it’s very expensive but I can’t imagine requiring anything actually related to the cancer (which has hopefully gone).
thanks. Sam

  • Hi . I went away after finishing chemoradiotherapy and it was lovely to have a break. I think I googled ‘travel insurance for cancer patients’ and it took me to a sort of compare the market link. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the company now! My husband has insurance for us both through his bank account and they said I was still covered but not for anything cancer related. Anyway there is a board for travel insurance which will hopefully have some up to date recommendations

Please make sure you wear a high factor cream - your skin will be sensitive to the sunlight - I had a couple of large freckles that looked to turn an almost lilac colour!

Hope you get sorted and have a lovely hol

    Take care

    Hi Karen

thank you so much. Super helpful. I was wondering if my existing insurance would be void if I didn’t tell them about the cancer and then did something unrelated. Really appreciate your help. Hope you are well and stay well. Big love. Sam x
