I’ve always had a CT scan first then an MRI if they wanted to look at something in greater depth. All my follow up scans have been CT
Take care

Hi Georgie1.
I was told after my surgery that I would have yearly CT scans but not MRI scans. After my first year CT scan, I was called back for an MRI scan. This was to take a close look at something that had shown up on my liver. It turned out to be a cyst which was harmless and needed no further treatment. From this I think the MRI scan must be more in depth than a CT. As my second year CT approached, I was quite worried but I wasn't called back that time so I was relieved about that.
That is good to know Blackstuff, thanks. Long may those scans remain clear.
