Hi Everyone,
I am not sure how to broach this topic, but a month before my diagnosis (31st January 2022) I realised that my wind/bloating/farting/flatulence had taken on epic proportions.
I thought that it was due to my unfortunately changing over to all bran based cereal combined with adding tinned beans into some of my casseroles.
I tinkered with a lot of supplements like Beano, Gasex.
The thing that I noticed was the 'scent' had changed to a sweetish - sort of chips cooking smell.
Then of course the diagnosis for the colon tumour.
This situation is still there and I am banished to the garden. My op is on 10th March.
Sorry to ask this question, but is this due to/a symptom of the colon cancer? Is it just old age?
What drew my attention to this issue was the report on Joe Biden letting one off in front of Camilla Duchess of Cornwall. And then his subsequent colonoscopy finding some polyps.
Apologies again for broaching this embarrassing question
Best wishes
Irene
