I had a really major wobble yesterday, came out of nowhere, I never understood how anxiety is not only mental but can cause very real physical pain as well.
I called called the hospital and spoke to a specialist nurse, even though I had my CT scan on Saturday had no idea, good bad ugly, she said I check it, she said it looks promising
no blockages in or near the bowel. I know she is not the specialist doctor or consultant and they have to look in depth and could see things she can’t.
So she said the pain I was feeling maybe something else, and if I feel the same tomorrow make an appointment with my doctors. That evening about 30 minutes to 45 minutes after I was much calmer. And next morning feeling fine. Showed me the power of anxiety.
my MNR scan on Friday afternoon for pelvis only hopefully I will not have to wait too long to know the complete picture and have a plan to work on to go forward .
Hi Pippa
The stress and anxiety that you are going through can cause physical problems, pain and nausea can be part and parcel of the waiting for results.
I found it really hard to just function.
Once you know exactly what the treatment plan is you will find it so much easier to get on with things you like doing. I couldn’t concentrate on anything!
Sending you a virtual hug
Ann
It’s really good you’ve found this site I didn’t join until I had worries about my Ileostomy and I was overwhelmed with support and advice it was wonderful. I try and pop in now and again to see if I can help.
Before my treatment plan I found mindfulness, meditation, relaxation type apps really helped and gave me some head space. I would listen to one a day, had lavender oil on my pillow and watched a lot of light hearted tv. Whatever helps go for it. Please stay away from Google. It can send you all over the place and it’s not helpful

Hi Pippa, glad your feeling a little more at ease after chatting to your nurse. I no how you felt, waiting for My scan results this time I was really down. But got them today and still stable made up. Try to stay positive. Meditation is good I also walk and dance with the music blaring, once your used to your plan it will become your new norm.
