First scan this morning, so mixed emotions

scarred there is something else is going on or wrong only because after my bowel screen appointment, my stomach is still aching, and bloating and I feel really uncomfortable.

then on the other hand pleased that I have had the scan today, because this is the start way to treatment and recovery

Hi Pippa. Yes it’s mad and you soon realise where the term ‘scanxiety’ comes from. However scans are important to get a complete picture of what’s going on so they can get the best plan in place for you. The aching and bloating will be from the stress and anxiety that you’re feeling and if you were say waiting for a job interview you would put in down to that and wouldn’t think anymore about it?

I am having a total wobbly today.

At the moment I seem to be noticing every twitch, aches, pain, thinking is it spread.

it don’t help I am having to Pretend that nothing is happening everything is fine, due to my mums dementia, a long story but mums best friends daughter has cancer and is now receiving palliative care sadly she has not gone long. We talked about it a few days ago mum said no mother have to bury there daughter first.

I am the only one left to look after mum, I have no family mine was killed in a road accident my husband and children 30 years ago.
