Hi all has anybody had the 4th injection yet ? I have been told I can have it and have an appointment to get it tomorrow ! I'm having second thoughts. Thinking

  • Just had mine this morning. Had the Pfizer before but was offered Maderna this time if wanted. Stuck to what I know.

  • Yes I had Pfizer and will stick with that , don't want to mix them.

  • As a vaccinating pharmacist I would  advise mixing them up.
Last info I saw Moderna had a slightly better profile versus Omicron and better to spread your immunity options.

  • I’ve had three two AZ Then were meant to have Pfizer but they changed last minute were saving them for children gave us Moderna. We were really ill two weeks. My sister nearly six weeks. I don’t know if we had the Pfizer one we may have been better. Both in-laws were fine with AZ and Pfizer. I will not have Moderna again.

  • My hisband had 2 AZ ones  and now 2 pfizer.no problems.he had leukaemia years ago so was offered the 4th jab.

  • Hi Moi2.

I had 4th one last Saturday, was offered as was on chemo when had first two.  1st, 2nd + booster were all Pfizer (no choice) - slightly sore arm; upset stoma with leaks but side effects minimal.

4th one was Moderna (didn't have a choice but happy as I heard mixing is good as Parky2170 said).  Side effects kicked in around 6 hours later - very tired, extremely achey which lasted about 36 hours.  Also had a lot of leaks until evening of Tuesday as output changed.  Feeling OK since yesterday.  Moderna side effects (for me) were much worse than Pfizer, but pleased I've had it.

    Best Wishes,

  • Moderna made my husband really ill it was really distressing I would highly recommend not having the Moderna if you suffer from Parkinson’s. I am very surprised that they gave it to him. It took days for the PD meds to work.
