Frightened ....having had colon cancer spread to the liver twice, and liver re section, and radio frequency ablation, over 10 years ago, recent occurrences have lead me to wonder if it has now come back ? I went to see the doctor, as usually I had a colonoscopy every 5 years in France (where I lived until three years ago) BUT no appointments for tests and examinations are available for a long time .......I feel terrible, and live on my own, with no family ...dread to think of dying alone and no one finding me ! Would obviously prefer hospice care but realise this is not possible until you are diagnosed as having 6 months or less to live. Should I see if I can have a private colonoscopy/blood tests ? not sure if any clinic does this ? what have others done please ? thanks
Hi Kelli
If you are now living in the UK - & are having worrying symptoms. Do go see your GP asap. I am sure that they will arrange for tests/Colonoscopy as soon as possible. If they think there's a problem - it should not take long for these examinations to happen.
When I first presented with symptoms to my GP - my Colonoscopy was arranged within 2 weeks.
Wishing you the best.
Marianne
