Hi new to the forum, can anybody help me with fit test results. Mine just came back as 200, should I be worried? Thanks in advance.
Hi Artsie, thank you for your response. I’m booked in to have colonoscopy and endoscopy. I’m very anemic which a month ago I had to have iron and blood transfusion. I had lost weight and experiencing dizziness, heart palpitations, craving for ice and even feeling cold. Thanks in advance.
Hi LadyLouLou
It’s nice to meet you I’m sorry that you find yourself here. It’s a brilliant place to get support and advice from people that understand.
It sounds as though you are in line for the investigations to diagnose and get some treatment. Once you have your colonoscopy you may have more of an idea of what is causing your health issues
I had treatment for anemia years ago which caused lethargy, palpitations and a general weakness it wasn’t anything to do with my bowel problems
Are they checking your blood count maybe your GP could advice you on those results
I hope you feel better soon
Ann
Hi Artsie,
Yes, low blood count also I have had my sigmoid removed in 2015 due to cancer. So as you can see I’m worried it’s returned somewhere else. Thank you for you replies.
Yes that’s understandable.
I hope all goes well.
I found I lost weight and found it difficult to eat so I had two meal supplements a day plus food I could manage.
keep us updated.
Thinking of you
Ann
Thank you for taking your time out of your day in replying, will definitely keep up to date when tests are done. Hope you are well yourself, take care. Best wishes
Hi LadyLouLou
As Artsie has said only 8-10% of FITs turn out to be sinister. Having said that I had similar symptoms to you which with hindsight were a giveaway
low iron, dizziness on exertion (! Bad spelling?) and so you do have a couple of red flags and therefore right to have concerns. But you are doing all the right things and just need to go thru the process.
maybe it has returned but more likely maybe it is unrelated ?
wishing you a quick colonoscopy and a good result xx
