Hi. I had my colonoscopy today & was told i had a tumour in my rectum. Unfortunately they weren't able to continue as the pain got to much for me it was agony.
Was told it was between 4/5cm & a biopsy was taken.
How long does it take for the results of the biopsy? I,m worried sick.
Thanks.
Hello Neilga
I know how you feel it’s frightening please don’t check Dr Google I did and scared myself silly and it turned out none of it was relevant
When you had your colonoscopy you should have a contact number. Might be good to make contact to find out how progress is moving along. My MDT team met on Fridays and my final procedure was on the Tuesday and my case was discussed the following Friday. They then gave me an appointment with my consultant
If you click on any of our names you can read our bios
Any questions ask away.

Hi Neilga
I got all my results at my Consultant appointment. The good thing about that is it has been to the MDT meeting and they have discussed all your biopsy and scan results and will have a treatment plan for you. It seems a long wait for thst appointment but when you see your consultant you will feel better as you will be told exactly what’s going to happen treatment wise. take a pen and paper to write stuff down and take someone with you as a lot of info to remember.
Be good to yourself and hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer.
