Hello
I am sure I shouldn't panic but it has been over a month since my husbands last chemo. The oncologist wants to do targeted chemo for 3 months but the unit is to busy and my husband is still waiting for his appointment to start? I worry everyday that without treatment the cancer is growing and is detrimental to him having a chance of recovery.
Has anyone else had this problem - is there an alternative? Pay to go private - not that I am a millionaire but I would sell our house if we had to.
Thank you

You don’t have to sell your home . PALS will help you advocate if there is a further delay .
If it’s any help my mum’s consultant said there was no such thing as emergency chemo and to go and have a holiday if she liked . So that would take a few weeks to schedule and a few to go on holiday I would image . However there is a line and in the current climate I think it is reasonable to want a date scheduled to plan and focus around .
I think you are right to give this a push in the right direction now . If you have the consultants secretary’s email number you could give them a quick email . Always best to leave a paper trail !
Take care ,
