Well we decided for my mum to go for the bowel cancer operation, and was pencilled in for tomorrow after it being cancelled in December.. then she had to go for more tests and the consultant wanted a second opinion today we had that and they aren't going to do the operation.. mum has copd and the risk of her not coming through are to high. They can't tell us how long she will live but it hasn't spread to her liver or kidneys yet.. we was hoping it could be removed but unfortunately not.. so we will make the most of the time and make lots of memories
So sorry to hear that Leb17. Would it be worth getting another opinion?
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Hi seaspirit we've had a second opinion today and he was honest with us from the start.. we will make what time we have Happy ones x
Hi Leb17
Sorry to hear that . I think we all know there is a tipping point where it is just not possible and you have ensured that her needs have been fully assessed and you know deep In your heart you have exhausted all options and this is the correct pathway forward for her to take that that’s important.
Now to surround her with your love .
She is very fortunate to have such a caring daughter .
Thinking of you both .
