I had a stoma reversal nearly 6 months ago. My bowel movements have settled down but I accept they won't be the once a day like clockwork as they were in days before. The point I would like to raise for discussion is the sensitivity of my belly - just above the belt line. Some parts feel normal, others tender and others have little sensitivity - like touching plastic. Anyone else experienced this?
VGOM I had my reversal operation 10months ago and I can relate to what you mean about the numb feeling Its all do with the tissue damage caused by the deep opening of the scar. It gets a bit better Do you have 1scar?
I've get a slightly swelling of my Bowel (what's left of it ) when I have to go to the toilet But its not a problem I was told that it could take a while to your bowls get through this major operation ...
