Low blood platelets

Hello, have not been on for a while

Had pet scan after 4 rounds of chemo it showed no lymp node involvement, lung mets have decreased, elbow stable.

I was ecstatic now I have missed 2 infusions due to very low blood platelets, I now gone in to overdrive as feel the cancer will start growing again

Anyone else had this

My mum’s platelets dropped and they had to reduce her chemo a bit . Interestingly enough they stayed that way for ten years around 50 and suddenly came up a bit last year .

Great scan results ! Understandable to think of it increasing again but my mum did have long gaps between chemo and surgery and all was still well .
I think there is options for helping boost platelets so hopefully they will not let it linger if it has not come up already .
