Hi
I was diagnosed in October 21 within a minute of having a colonoscopy, (sent immediately for ct scan and MRI) with Anal cancer, stage 2, it has not spread anywhere else, it is 2cms from the anal verge and is 1.8 cms in size. within 3 days I was called back to the hospital and was told everything was in place to be admitted immediately for an op to have a permanent stoma, to say I was shocked was an understatement. No other options were offered. I refused the op until I had found out about other treatments.
The Aphrodite Trial was suggested by the nurse. I have agreed to go down this path and start treatment for 5.5 weeks tomorrow 4th Jan, I will be taking 3 tablets am and 3 tablets pm and higher dose of radiotherapy Mon to Fri, Has anyone had this treatment and if so what was the outcome, side effects etc.
Any help or advice would be appreciated
