Welcome to January 2022 !  Had a wee trip to sit by the sea through the week ! Always therapeutic .
I think it was  that suggested a few weeks ago reconnecting with people so that’s one of my New Years resolutions and have actually made a start on that in Dec .

For those starting or restarting treatment you might like to keep an eye on Bowelbabes Instagram as she is always motivating people thorough treatment .

Hope today is a good one for you all .

  • Thanks Court.

The photo looks so inviting and has inspired me to think about my New Year resolutions. I have always had the popular choice, must give up something or must join a gym. My resolution to improve myself in a physical way or appearance usually lasts until spring if I’m really determined and then the weather brightens and I get on with gardening etc

So I’m joining you with your resolution, starting tomorrow we are staying in a beautiful Manor House a lovely treat from our daughter  Then I’m going to have away days at least once a month.

I am going to start by visiting a friend who I have known since we were at school at age 10.we live a distance apart nowadays but boy is it great when we can meet and catch up in person

    Thanks for the idea

I think the lock down has had an even more negative impact on our lives.

  • Well its an unsettling day today. TED day at school tomorrow, so I was planning on going in to try and catch up on work in a kid free zone. Slightly thrown by them requesting an additional lateral flow test today. Oh well I will see what's going on tomorrow. At least I will have 2 days in hand if I don't want to go in at some stage. My rescheduled CT scan from last week is hopefully happening tomorrow evening as well. So a stressful day, no wonder I am unsettled today!!!

    Fingers and toes crossed!

  • All the very best with your scan  . Perfectly understandable that the day before scanning leaves you a bit restless. But we are holding out for good news for you .
LFT are now like Gold dust here !
    It’s been a wet day here !
Half the decorations are down and one last night with the Christmas tree.

    Take care ,

Hello Court this is Ann aka everhopeful. Well it's taken me a couple of years to log back in after system changed Whewww ! Still not too sure what im doing.lol

How are all your family grown  up fast I expect. My grandson has now started school and loves it.

This was a spur of the moment thing to come back on and then I saw your post about reconnecting  with people  and though just do it , may be able to offer some support  as it's now been 8 and a half years since I was diagnosed with BC .

Hope to hear from you Court and if anyone else reads this and would like to know my journey please let me know

  • Oh  can’t say how nice it is to see your avatar and name pop up !

I think your story would give so much encouragement to others so I am delighted you managed to log back in . I can’t believe your grandson is now at school . Seems like yesterday we were welcoming him into this world !

My guys are adults now . Can you believe that ? They were only 7 and 9 when I stumbled onto here but one is on this final year at uni ! Time flies !

Mum is still doing well and keeping me busy !

I will send you a new friends request !

    Take care ,

Yes indeed Court look forward to a friend's request. Lots to catch up on.

I'm so pleased your Mum is keeping well , please give her my very best regards . As I've always said she's an inspiration to all of us on here. And the boys. The last thing I recall one had passed his

driving test and the other was learning !!!. As you say time flies, even more recently.
