weight loss?

Hi,Im going to have the first radiotherapy today at Mount Vernon the start of five sessions.

Did anyone lose weight when waiting for this? Ive lost approx 8lbs in 3-4 weeks. I assume it would be down to worry anxiety etc etc?

My biggest problem is getting the pain under control? Im currently on co co codomal at night and paracetamol day time. Ive just noticed that its at it worse when I get out of the bath so from tonight Im taking just showers and see how it goes?

Hi slash1953, sorry you haven't had a response to your post. By replying to you it will bump your post back up to the top of the list where someone who can help answer your question might see it this time.

Anxiety can definitely cause weight loss especially if anxiety affects how much you are eating.

Big apology from me . I am so sorry I missed your post .
How did your first radiotherapy go ? Many people report dropping a few pounds . I think it is the anxiety of a diagnosis and all that it brings with it .

Also did your pain reduce with the shower ? Your GP should definitely be able to help you get your pain sorted out or speak to the team giving you radiotherapy. They will be able to pop you in the right direction .
