Hi ,
Bit embarrassed to ask this but I have a problem with excessive wind?
I take Tramadol, morphine sometimes and Laxido.
It wakes me up in the night with the feeling of needing the toilet but when I go its just wind!! Feels like the space shuttle sometimes??
Has anyone else had this?
Many thanks
Terry
PS radioligy starts 16...
Could be a side effect of the laxido? Does it mention it in the paper thing that you get with it that you can never fold back up the same way again! x
I have just popped in after a long break - my hemicolectomy went well in May but my goodness was the wind a problem - and still is to an extent. Someone here suggested I go lactose free-ish as a trial. That really did help me - I don't get woken up in the middle of the night any more with the wind but I am still having to make sure that it is only wind that I am 'expelling' during the daytime!! I've been lactose free-ish for about 3 months and for me that was a really halpful suggestion.Fortunately I never did have to take any drugs so they were not tha cause of my wind - but I was producing enough for a hot air balloon....
Hi I have the same problem with terrible wind so thinking of changing diet and giving up the lactolos
I went through the range of non dairy 'milk' & decided on unsweetened soya and noticed that some have added vitamins and some don't. Then I had to think seriously about ethics - global warming and tree felling for crops etc etc to decide on which brands...... It has made a difference but I'm not 100% wind free and may never be, time will tell
