Hi all,
I’m in brain cancer remission and have an annual scan every year. My Neurologist doesn’t want me to have any more MRI/CT scans as radiation can slightly increase cancer risk.
I had a colonoscopy at a different hospital recently but colon was too swollen to be checked all round so Gastro Dr wants to do a CT scan which includes low dose radiation.
I now have a predicament and don’t know whether to have the scan for colon issues/cancer (and increase the risk of this too) or not have the scan and what might be cancer in there will just keep growing.. I have asked my Neurologist for advice but whilst I wait it’s not a nice thing to be thinking about:-(
I‘ve been in this ‘which doctors advice should I take’ situation before and I did the right thing (I think!) but it’d be good to hear from others who have as well - tia x
