Hi All,
This is my first post. I was diagonsed with Stage 4 Bowel cancer in Janaury 2021. And since then I have been on chemo every 2 weeks.
Side effects - Numbiness in my fingers, skin breaks in my fingertips, extreme fatigue, rashes on face and back.
My concern is of lately I have been experiecning bad and painful stomach cramps around my pelivc where my stoma bag is.
Anyone here having similar effects ? I am slightly concerned about this.
Thanks
Hi ,
My mum had terrible cramps . I could only describe it as colicky type symptoms . She was rolling round the bed at times . Over the counter buscopan really helped . I think it might have been on her rest week when the cap tablets stopped . It seemed to get worse then settle on her next infusion . Definitely one to run by your team . We though it was her bowel blocking at times but it was more her colon being very inflamed apparently.
I would chat to your team about the best way to manage it as it can be very painful .
I can understand your concern . The second year of treatment my mum had her dose slightly reduced and got a better balance all round . Her team were able to manage it .
I don’t read off it too much on the forums strangely enough but the chemo still did a good job despite it all .
Take care ,
Court
