Numb fingertips and feet. Even when chemo finished. Has anyone experienced same

  • Hi. Can you tell me what vitamins you took and did you apply any type of rub on your hands and feet?

  • Hi! I was advised to take Calcium, B vitaminds, Vitamin D and C as well as Magnesium. A mixture of powders, serum (D) and capsules. For me hands and feet I just used a moisturiser - the action of massaging helped the circulation for me. Hopefully yours will improve soon.

  • Yes I second that, please tell your Oncologist. They will only change the dose if it is safe - there may be an alternative treatment that has less side effects. Half way through my chemo they lightened my dose and the tingling in my face, mouth, hands and feet disappeared and I could enjoy cold drinks again. It was wonderful! See what they say.

Thanks that helps . I suppose I'm so scared of wind that I avoid trying out salads . Shall try a bit harder .

  • With you on that one! It's the winter anyway so I've decided there ´s no harm trying out carrots, squash and green beans for now. Let's get in training for the summer - coleslaw can wait!

  • Went to a friends yesterday and had broccoli and salmon quiche  with cucumber, rice salad, taboule, potato salad.just missed out on the coleslaw.and I was fine.even had raspberries for desert.a bit worried about the pips but no problems.

hi for the neuropathy I take very high dose vitamin b tablet which incorporates all the b vitamins, and for the hand and foot syndrome I started using Flexitol heel balm with 20% Urea in it, but I found some on Amazon that has 40% Urea in it, I have just finished cycle seven of CAPOX and the foot cream is helping, and for the hands I use Aveeno, and sometimes Arnica gel which I steal off the wife, take care cheers john.xxx

  • Everyone's advice is brilliant, got such a better insight to this hand face and feet issue, I think mine is the infusion which causes mine,

    Thankyou

hi Bud, yes you will probably find that the face, sore arm and first bite and tingling in fingers and toes is usually down to the oxy infusion, also watch out for drinking cold drinks after infusion as you can get a throat spasm and it is very scary, if it happens just breath in through the nose and out through the mouth, later on in the cycles it's the cape tablets that give you the hand and foot syndrome which is the burning soles of feet and the peeling of hands and loss of fingerprints, wishing you guys all the best take care cheers john.xxx
