My mum went to see her consultant on Friday.. we now know its not spread to any major parts.. but we have been told they won't give her chemotherapy. They said if she wanted the operation, they would try but have told us there's a big percentage on her needing to go In a care home after has she will need care and even if she can come home she will need care!! She might not make it through the operation.. they said its either a grade 2 or 3 but can't tell if it's spread to the glands outside the bowel. They only can tell that if they operate.. we've decided to make the most of the time we have with her. They can't give us a definite time but said it could be upto 12 months.. the macmillan nurses are coming into meet her so they can get to know her before she needs them.. hope everyone else is OK x
