Just wondering how all the people on nivolumab are getting on with treatment? I would like to hear positive and not so positive stories so don't be afraid to share them with me. My husband is due he's first CT scan on 16th November after 6 rounds of nivolumab so I am interested to see what results good or bad other people have had from this treatment. My husband has colorectal cancer removed by surgery in April 2021 had 3 rounds of mop up chemo cancer was found in 1 lymph node but unfortunately on follow up scan cancer had returned to the outside of the join from surgery and also in several para aortic lymph nodes my husband has lynch syndrome also so very keen to hear if anyone is in a similar situation to him.
Hi Hayleyc89 as you now I also have Lynch syndrome. My first scan after starting on Nivolumab I was stable and have been since then, I have my 18th round on Monday. Good luck with your husbands scan on 16th my scan is on 18th, so let's keep fingers, toes, eyes everything crossed xx
Hi,
I had Nivolumab Immunotherapy for few months earlier in the year. I had excellent results from it. The scan after 3 months showed no active cancer.
Unfortunately I developed Immunotherapy induced hepatitis and my liver enzymes shot through the roof, so the treatment has had to stop and I have had slight progression of the residual cancer on the duodenum.
I have been on high dose steroids for about 3 months which made me feel quite unwell and have had a couple of stays in hospital. I have had a stent inserted in the bile ducts which have greatly improved my liver function which is almost back to normal.
I am waiting to see my consultant to see what the next step will be regarding treatment.
Is is doubtful that I will be able to have the Nivolumab again but my oncologist has said he will offer me chemo when I am well and strong again.
Take care and I hope the treatment has worked for your husband.
