Hi all,
Just had another MRI to check my liver and so waiting for results.
Im having a bit of pain now,its worse when sitting down but worse at night because its keeping me awake.
Nurse said paracetamol every 5 hrs, the co codamol but that makes me a bit constipated.Tried warm bag,hot bag all to no avail?
Has anyone have any other ideas apart from getting drunk and passing out lol?
Thanks all,
Hi slash1953
Is your pain in the liver area or abdomen ? It sounds a bit much to me . Our helpline staff would be happy to chat this through with you . 0808 808 0000. Some people have reported constipation on pain meds which is a problem for bowel cancer patients . But it would be worthwhile running pain management past your team as there is pain clinics in the NHS and they may refer you to one .
Does a hot bath help at all ?
Take care ,

I was on morphine (both slow release tablets and the liquid) and my advice is to avoid opioids at all costs. I spent a year coming off them, I was extremely strict in both their use and coming off them. It was not enjoyable and didn’t actually do anything for the pain. I will never take opioids again.
I don't like them either, make me very tearful, and vomited, I avoid them and also refused the last time I was offered them when in hospital.
