Hello am due for a long resection which I was told could be done had my lung function test and pet scan but I’ve just received an appointment to see my oncologist next week ! Anyone else had this? Wondering if they won’t or can’t do op now … I’ve had mets successfully removed over the last 6 years so otherwise healthy !
Thank you
Hi
I would think that’s just to confirm the PET scan results ! Think there is a push to return to in person care again !
Was your CT scan ok ? I take it that was relatively recent ? My mum used to
always have an appointment with her oncologist for any scan results ! Everything is so up in the air just now it has caused a lot of concern trying to interpret the space !
I definitely not assume the worst . Did you have the PET scan before the lung function tests ?

Hi ,
Thats encouraging as it was very recent !
I would email his/her secretary and ask for some insight into it ! Why not if it’s out with the normal protocol!

Hi ,
Just noticed your message on another thread ! Please don’t worry about that ! If you want to remove them you can go to “ more” and delete ! But no one will mind !
Have you ever had radio frequency ablation for the lung mets ?
My mum had one lung met ! Surgically removed but like you it was so slow growing . She had two others on the scan as well but after the PET scan they discovered she only had one with uptake . The other two were benign !
Mum is doing fine thank you ! Have you posted in the past ? Your name sounds familiar!
Hope Monday reassures you !
Take care ,

Oh thank you I’ll get the hang of it !! Yes I’ve had Ablation that worked once before so much easier than op! Well we know all three are cancerous mets but maybe pet scan has shown them not to be big enough to operate who knows!! Last months CT scan did show a slight growth so that’s when an op was suggested.
No over never joined before today
so pleased your mum ok x
