My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer with spread to liver in July this year. She was told inoperable. Needless to say it was one of the worst moments of our life and really rocked the entire family.
Fast forward several months and after 5 cycles of Folfox (which involved two A&E trips, two dose reductions, and enforced chemo breaks) we had the amazing news this week that she has become operable. We never thought we'd get to this point.
Obviously still a very long road ahead but we're very pleased so far. I hope this gives others hope too.
Absolutely fantastic news and with only five cycles . Sounds as though she had a rough time on chemo ! A bit like my mum !
Send your mum our love and I will be celebrating this good news tonight . You all must be delighted !
Such a relief . Chemo can be very powerful indeed !
Have a great night !
