I HAD A OPERATION ON SEPTEMBER 11th this year and I was in hospital until I was discharged on the Saturday at the end of the week, I was positive all the week and cheerful and not down in the dumps, which is a good thing that kept me going, plus I had a get well card from my church and one from my work friends, when ever I had to go to hospital for check ups I took them with me.
I was walking about after the operation Monday evening after the operation, and when I was discharged the nurses said that was a good thing to do, if I didn't there would be a problem with dvt ( deep vein thrombosis) and I had been told that by one of my stoma nurse, plus a clinical nurse.
I am still positive with the stoma I have to for the rest of my life, all of my family are still positive, which I am very grateful
What a lovely post so glad it went well for you and a great encouragement for others to read who are starting out !
My mum kept her cards tied up in a little ribbon and when she needed a reminder would think of all the good wishes they contained for her well being.
So nice of people to reach out to you !
Take care ,
