Hi
I am sorry you have to join us but you are very welcome !
It is very hard to hear that cancer has spread . Your husband seems to have tolerated his first chemo so that’s a very positive start . My mum had a spread to her liver at diagnosis and it was very hard to hear ! However chemotherapy actually did a powerful job and it opened up other options ! Once they see how your husband responds to chemotherapy they will have better insight into his prognosis. At the beginning it’s impossible for them to tell !
My own mum has been an a stage 4 patient an amazing twelve year ! We were also told months at the beginning! Taking it one cycle at a time and holding onto Hope for us through the first year !
You sound very close !
How is he getting on with his chemo ?
Take care ,

Hi
I think it’s very important at the beginning to find out there is a subgroup of patients that despite a difficult diagnosis are chemo responsive! My own mum’s spread was pretty extensive in her liver at diagnosis!
When we looked at the research and found people who had responded well it gave us such a boost !
I am sincerely hoping there are teams of scientists across the globe working hard to improve treatment for stage 4 patients . Since my mum was diagnosed over 12 years ago treatment has changed in so many ways I am not quite outdated ! But that’s a very , very good thing !
Hope you and your wife have a very good day today !
