Hi. My husband has had 3 rounds of immunotherapy and has coped really well with fatigue as the only major side effect. Yesterday he was stood up and completely lost he's vision for a few minutes and thought nothing of it and sat down. Woke up this morning felt fine then all of a sudden he's vision went and the room began to spin and he couldn't move I phoned an ambulance as it was very scary and they took us to a&e where a doctor said its just vertigo and wanted to send him home with tablets, I wasn't satisfied by this so I asked him to contact my husbands team which he eventually did and the oncologist asked the doctor to speak with the stroke consultant and ordered a brain scan which he is having done tomorrow but the a&e doctor was convinced it wasn't a stroke but the oncologist wants to rule it out. I am just wondering if anyone on nivolumab has experienced this? We have now been sent home and to go back to hospital this afternoon for a meeting with the oncologist and have a brain mri tomorrow. Immunotherapy cycle 4 was due today too so this has had to be cancelled.
That’s all a bit scary Hayleyc89 I used to get that a lot and my blood pressure stays on the low side but I knew exactly what it was !
I am hoping it is something simple like that and not a stroke ! He has done so well on it !
Great idea to include his oncologist! That was very wise indeed !
How did the meeting with the oncologist go ?

The oncologist never got in touch with us nor did he's nurse specialist so bit angry about that to be honest but tomorrow we are at hospital for mri scan and hopefully someone from he's team will call us tomorrow or I'll call them either way. It was very scary indeed but he's back home resting now x
I would take some comfort in the fact the A and E staff see a lot of stroke patients !
That was upsetting not to get a phone call ! It’s all so stressful at times and I hope that’s the last he has to endure that side effect !
You will need a rest now too!
