So today I went for my second MRI scan to see if my tumour has shrunk enough to operate on stage 3 colon cancer but my journey is 30 miles away in Glasgow and involves a ferry crossing but sat waiting for the ferry I needed the toilet instantly and approached the ticket office and produced my NEED A TOILET URGENTLY! Card but the receptionist after a talk with the manager refused me access.Realy puts me off going anywhere when I can’t be confident in how I am accepted being disabled.
Hi Tnbiskits
I’m so sorry to read of your experience. For all the talk of disabilities sometimes being invisible, there’s so much more education that’s needed. Would you be up to alerting your own MP and MSP, and inviting them to increase awareness of chronic urgency as a real issue?
Hi Tnbiskits,
That must've been a horrible experience. I think if you're feeling up to it, you should put in a complaint. The way you were treated is outrageous! It's dreadful customer service but don't let it put you off venturing out as I'm sure other people would allow you to use their facilities. Hope it's good news for surgery.
