Hey folks , last meeting with dr , they decided to keep me on capecitabine but not go ahead with iv chemo as I’m keeping soo well, but I wonder if this is good thing ? As I’ve developed a liver cancer after bowel tumour was removed … although 26 lymph nodes are clear, they are hoping capecitabine will see off tumour , and I’ve to get ct after cycle 8 is finished
do you think this is ok

Hi Stomagirl
I was just saying on another post that there always seems to be a bit of clinical judgement from the oncologist based on their knowledge and experiences in practice! I think the weigh up what’s best for each patient and their own tolerance level!
Our helpline staff might have some insight 0808 808 0000. But if your at all concerned you can chat it through with your team !
You have to have complete confidence going forward too !
Great to hear your keeping so well !
How are you all getting on !

Thanks court , I do trust my consultant and team , I just don’t want to go through next 3 cycles and end up on iv anyway, which is possible, but I am keeping great and living a normal life which I’m grateful for , and working hard to keep abscess away , by resting and not overdoing it .dr said it was 50/50 as to wt to do but on seeing me he decided stick to capecitabine
hopefully right choice
