Hi all, I had a right hemicolectomy surgery close to four weeks ago and I'm still having same symptoms of feeling like I haven't emptied the bowel fully and also feel constipated. I was advised to drink lots of water but this doesn't seem to be helping and laxatives were discouraged. Has anyone experienced this? Asking for help!
Hi Bertz
This is an NHS leaflet that mentions incomplete emptying . Whilst it does not directly give a solution it has some tips which might help or maybe not !! But might be worthwhile reading just in case . Someone else from the forum put a question into “ask and expert “ section on the forum
https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cancer_experiences/ask_the_expert
This might be a way of getting some informed information from one of the nurses !
Take care ,
