Had my 4th cycle of chemo today (last one hopefully) but as my friend was driving out of car park she said your speech is funny I know what you are trying to say but in a mixed up way so she took me back to hospital when they sent me to bigger one in Kirkcaldy (Fife) where I went through numerous blood and blood pressure tests before I had a CT scan ( all clear) but doctors said it may have been a mini stroke but can't find anything wrong as my speech is back to normal....anyone else had speech problems while on chemotherapy ????
Arthur
Hi Arthur. Yes I had a couple of instances usually the day after my infusion. I felt to be stumbling over words and the level of my voice kept changing but it pased over later in the day. I also had my oxaliplatin stopped when I commented that my tongue felt swollen which is apparently a side effect although not that common.
Well done on finishing the course
Take care
