So poorly tonight , upset tummy and quite a bit of blood loss , very visable , sigmoidoscopy is booked for Saturday but it seems such a long time away, waiting for polyp removal in rectum size is between 6 + 9 mm , they already removed a 1.5 to 2 cm polyp in sigmoid, I rang and finally after a month got told results looked fine but no report or anything , I'm just hoping this stupid polyp in the rectum is causing the bleeding it's a flat one. Where the one in sigmoid was on a stalk . Can these cause so much bleeding every time you go to the loo. I just feel like no one cares at all . Sorry if to much info but I am quite worried to be honest just want to know what I'm dealing with .

I would think anything can bleed . At its upper end it’s nearly one cm and in the wrong location that could be getting irritated.
Did you say you have colitis? Does that not cause bleeding too!

I hear what you are saying about been left hanging with this one ! I can see why you have felt that way and whilst clinically they probably just think it will be resolved it’s hard not knowing .

No court I dont have colitis , just rang my GP they don't have results from biopsy yet then I've just rang general surgery to be told a secretary can't give me results over phone when I rang and finally got through about 9 days ago she said it looked ok, ( this was the secretary) . But today been told that only the colorectal nurse can give that info out. I said don't I get a report of the biopsy report and she said no because I'm off for sigmoidoscopy again . What's the point if they don't keep you in the loop. I now supposedly getting the colorectal nurse getting in touch with me at some point .and no I still feel terrible .

So no one has officially given you the information. Have you tried your GP ? Some health boards share the same clinical portal and would have the results available.
Sorry , I think I remember now , was it your sister or am I getting totally mixed up ?

I don’t understand that as it was a different biopsy from a different area of the colon . You can request access to all your health notes but it takes time and probably won’t get you the information quicker !

I think this has been a very drawn out process with you doing all the work . How many weeks has it been since your biopsy ?

Biopsy was the 1sy July , and it's my daughter has overian cancer they are due to do her operation end of August .I can get my results online but there's nothing showing about the biopsy results , I just feel so scared , originally I was referred for the 2WW As had blood ,pain and possitive FIT TEST and feacle calprotection test was possitive too . I had 1.5 to 2 cm stalk polyp removal from sigmoid and then this other flat polyp in rectum which they said I git uncomfortable so didn't remove on that day, to be far it was pretty painful in places .
