  • Not sure where the first half of the year has gone...... vanished. Not got an awful lot done, but my drift is slowly better. Hopefully some of the abandoned chores can get done.

Yes the Olympics make a change, seems all sports this year, some I have no interest in. Mind we have just applied for some tickets for the Commonwealth Games in Brum next year.

    My usual Charlie offering.

Loving the Olympics, its helping keep my mind off things!

Chemo starting Tuesday so August is an uncertain month of probable chaos ahead

  • Thinking of you  and I hope tomorrow goes well . Let us know when you are safely home recovering .

I thought the young BMX lady did particularly well at the olympics but my favourite is the triathlon!

I am watching late into the night !

All the best for tomorrow. We are here to support you.

  • Good luck tomorrow, , take it easy.

Not surprisingly mine is the equestrian, but most others are good too.

    That looks a good beach,

  • I have been obsessed with the Olympics this time. My 5th round of Folfox knocked me over in a way it's not done before so I was spending days just sleeping on the sofa with the games on in the background. Been following Team GB but been sad that I've found it hard to follow the Swedish athletes but managed to see the womens football team beat Australia and get to the final!

In for my 6th round tomorrow, hoping the fatigue will be better this time around, and that the management company of our blocks get their thumbs out of their bums and finally fixes the lift that been broken for 4 weeks now. Climbing 6 floors up and down is not easy when your body is busy with more important things.

Leaving you with a then and now of our little Loki that turned one on August the 1st.

    xx Em

  • All the best  for tomorrow, ((hugs))

All this talk about staycations I tend to think of them as a holiday at home, not a holiday in the UK!!! Bad choice of words I think.

  • Oh wee loki is such a stunner! How well behaved too! such a cute wee nose !

Hope tomorrow goes ok . It’s so odd how one cycle can just play up a bit more than others but glad you have been able to catch a bit of the Olympic Games to distract you !

I caught a bit of the sailing this morning . What a close tie !!  I thought you might be following the horses . Have you managed back riding at all

that’s a lot of stair climbing to do on chemo ! Oh my goodness ! I really hope they get that fixed soon !

It’s strange how language has changed . It makes it sound as though your not getting on holiday at all . If it’s not in your own home it’s away on holiday !  I do use it but thought the same mysDolphinf . Anyway talking of animals and holidays the dolphins Dolphin passed by on my holidays and that certainly does not happen at home !

First dose of CAPOX today and my arm hurts like crazy! Can't wait for the PICC line to go in so it hurts less.

Been a bit spacey/disassociated all day, bringing myself back down to earth with some hat knitting just in case

  • Well done  you will be glad that’s over !

When does your Picc line go in ?  My mum did all of hers through cannula and it got really sore so you have made a good decision.

Are the hats for yourself ? I would be interested to know what pattern you are using ? I do some for a charity my friend is involved in .

Hope you get a good sleep and able to rest a bit !
