Hi John ssyne, what sort of problem are you having with the diet? is different food affecting you or are you just worried that something you eat might give you a repeat of the cancer? It is over a year since I finished my treatment and I eat most of the things I used to eat pre diagnosis.
Cheers, John
Hi John
I think that is a normal feeling, as I have also felt that what I eat is affecting my health etc. I now try to eat very healthily. Include fresh fruit and veg in my diet, every day. Lots of water, and no alcohol unless I am in a social event etc. I count my alcohol units at all times and now prefer to drink tea! I also make sure I eat fibre each day, as I definitely was not aware of the importance of fibre to good 'gut health'. I also try my very best to avoid packaged sugary snacks.. everything in moderation for me these days!
I try to read and research to keep healthily and I always try to include a brisk walk in the day, or a cycle. These are the ways I try to cope with the oral chemo I am on (almost done with it!) and to live a healthier lifestyle.
Take care, wishing you all the best going forward.
