Wondered about pulling together some of the tips that people share that may be of use to others preparing to start chemotherapy!

I was told not to let anyone else touch the tablets of capecitabine but never told that I couldnt.did use to wash my hands well afterwards tho.strange we are all given different advice.
Hi Karen. I think you have summed up practically everything needed to prepare anyone for chemo perfectly and this will be a great help to those people who are, understandably, worried sick about it. If only I had known about all this before my wife began her first chemo treatment as we were totally unprepared. Well done Karen x
Can I ask why you shouldn’t touch the tablets?
Hi Harve70
If you press the link above it explains that some care is required to ensure the rest of your household are safe from contamination/ toxic elements on your hands !
I never knew that and had my mum staying with me !
take care ,
