Some CT scans only include the abdomen area I think ! My mum’s always requested it included her thorax. I think this would be a normal request when a rectal tumour is detected !

Hi Kkd, That seems quite normal, my CT scans have always been PAT, pelvis abdomen and thorax, so they cover the areas that might have a problem. Hope it all goes ok, John

My CT scans have covered thorax, abdomen and pelvis. Once you know what you're dealing with and there's a treatment plan in place, it'll feel easier. This may take a few weeks. Your husband will have a great team around him with support for you both. Keep busy.

Thank you Karen we have to meet the consultant tomorrow for results from today’s scan so scared can only imagine how my husband is x

This is the worst time Kkd but once you have a plan in place then things will honestly feel a bit better.
