I know a lot of people will have different veiws on this but if you go out to a pub/resteraunt what are the best soft drinks to have when on chemo that don't upset your stomach or give you diarrhea

Seriously though, anything lemoney I found good. A lemon or blood orange San Pelligrino. Also fresh lemonade and mint.

  • Hi Atm,

I reluctantly stayed off the beer and wine, althought my oncolgist said a little wouldn't harm the treatment, so I majored on cranberry juice and still drink quite a bit of it, watered down to taste. (As well as beer and wine!) Plenty of vitamin C and never upset my stomach.

Chemo alters your taste sometimes so it will probably be trial and error.

    Cheers, John

I've been drinking Liptons peach tea. It's lovely at room temperature. It's not easy to find. Although our local Morrisons sells individual bottles in their takeaway sandwich area. But, they don't sell it in packs of 6 or whatever in their soft drinks section which is weird.

Make sure it's not too cold when you drink it! Any cold drinks really make my mouth tingle and hurt.
