Hi everyone, just got back from the hospital with results from halfway scan. Everything clear! Except for a 3cm nodule in my lung which they never told me about! Told me not to worry and carry on with treatment but I wonder why they never told me in the first place, has anyone else experienced this...
Hi Cat lou
Well done on a clear scan !
I am just wondering if it was 3 mm ! If it was within that range they often don’t mention them as the lungs frequently have benign nodules around that range that can often go away by the next scan or just sit there . They would show some concern if it started to grow . However I would expect them to have told you about a 3cm one . I personally would want a PET scan to see if it showed uptake . They also can tell a bit more about the appearance of these things . So if they are not worried I would hang onto that !
Take care ,

Hi Cat lou
When I read your first post and saw 3cm I was taken aback it was not mentioned to you . But I think loads of people have tiny nodules .
My mum has a few nodules that have sat there for five years and do absolutely nothing . It gives you a fright when you first hear of them but they are inclined to monitor them . I think they see them all the time .
Hope you are recovered !
